Rwy’n 23 mlwydd oed ac yn dod o Gastell-nedd. Graddiais o Goleg Celf Abertawe â Gradd BA Dosbarth 1af mewn Celfyddyd Gain yn haf 2021. Gweithiais mewn stiwdio yng Ngholeg Celf Abertawe am flwyddyn ar ôl ennill Gwobr Cronfa Les y Rhaglen Cymrodoriaeth Newid Cam 2021-2022. Ers hynny, rwyf wedi bod yn gweithio fel Artist Mentor Cyfrwng Cymraeg yn y Coleg.
Mae fy ngwaith yn ymateb i bethau rwy’n eu gweld yn ddyddiol. Gall y rhain gynnwys ffotograffau, tirluniau, golau adlewyrchol, sain a siapiau a ffurfiau gwrthrychau bob dydd. Rwy’n ymddiddori yn y syniad o haenu, datgelu, ymblethiad a newid cyd-destun delweddau, a’r ffin rhwng paentiad a cherflunwaith. Mae fy mhaentiadau’n datgelu atgofion, meddyliau, cyfrinachau a phrofiadau fy isymwybod trwy liw, gweddillion, gwead a’r anhysbys.
I’m 23 years old and come from Neath. I graduated from Swansea College of Art with a 1st Class Honours BA Degree in Fine Art. I worked in a studio at Swansea College of Art for a year after winning the Step Change Fellowship Programme Benevolent Fund Award 2021-2022. Since then, I have been working as a Welsh Medium Artist in Residence in the College.
I create works that respond to things I come across on a daily basis. These can include photographs, landscapes, reflective lighting, sounds and shapes and forms of everyday objects. I'm intrigued by the idea of layering, unravelling, intertwining, and decontextualising an image, and the boundary between painting and sculpture. My paintings reveal recollections, thoughts, secrets and experiences of my subconscious through colour, remnants, texture and the unknown.
